Your four-week learning planner

Before you begin
- My learning goal: What do I want to understand or do?
- My course or book: What resource will guide me?
- My learning times: Which days and times can I realistically use?
- My first task: What is the smallest useful step I can take?
Week 1 — Find your starting point
Review the course curriculum or book contents. Complete one introductory section and record the ideas you understand and the questions you still have.
Reflection: What felt clear? What needs another look?
Week 2 — Make practice part of the plan
Continue with a manageable section. After learning, close the material and explain the key idea in your own words. Choose one exercise, example, or practical task to try.
Reflection: What could I do without looking at my notes?
Week 3 — Connect the ideas
Review an earlier section before moving on. Look for a connection between what you are learning and something you already know. Write down a question to ask or research.
Reflection: Where could this knowledge be useful?
Week 4 — Review and choose your next step
Return to your original goal. Summarise what you have learned, identify a gap, and decide whether to continue, practise more, or explore another course.
Reflection: What changed? What is one useful next step?
A reusable session checklist
- Choose one task before you start.
- Put the relevant course, book, and notes within reach.
- Learn, then practise or explain one idea.
- Record a question and your next task.
This planner is a flexible guide. Adjust its pace to fit your course, your responsibilities, and your own learning needs.
